Distracting The Colour by Russell Scott Skinner

Russell Scott-Skinner has been hailed as one of the most exciting surrealist painters in the UK. On 28th July 2011, Russell hosted an exclusive, invitation only private view of his inaugural exhibition at gallery@oxo on London's South Bank. The evening provided art critics, curators and celebrities the opportunity to view his latest collection, "Distracting the Colour", for the first time.

The exhibition opened to the public with free admission from 29th July to 14th August where art enthusiasts were able to see Russell paint live in the main window, offering a rare insight into his unique and visual style. In the last two years, Russell has seen private sales and commissions flourish as his work gains recognition in the mainstream.

Throughout the exhibition, Russell raised money for the charity Beatbullying, giving people the opportunity to bid on one of his original paintings via a silent auction. All proceeds from the winning bid went directly to the charity.
