London College Of Fashion Graduate Fashion Week 2011

London College Of Fashion held its annual Graduate Fashion Week show yesterday 7/6/2011 with some remarkable collections on display.
This year was the first to be held at the new and outstanding venue "The Studio" in central London. The superb surroundings, excellent facilities and the sheer size of the venue clearly impressed several, if not all the guests with one leading fashionista asking to be considered for next year's event.

The show itself, which was screened live at www.fashion.arts.ac.uk/2011/live was pulsating, colourful and well organised with the staff as charming as ever.

With regards to the awards, The Barnett Lawson Award for Best Use of Trimmings went to Charlotte Barry from Liverpool, who was praised for her incredible detailing.

Collection of the Year, the most prestigious award of the night was awarded to Nova Chiu from Hong Kong who was judged to have phenomenal technical skill and creative flair.

Based on the fabulous collections on display, it is fair to say that all the designers were winners on the night and one will hope to see their works gracing several well known figures and publications in the future.
